Spain: Barcelona and Mallorca May 2017
Barcelona
Dates: May 16 - May 19, 2017
I had been to Barcelona before, so this was a quick return trip prior to heading to Mallorca. Spain in general is one of my favorite countries, such a fun and inviting country. I did a lot of exploring the city on foot and visited the Basílica i Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família during the three days I was in the city.
Mallorca
Dates: May 19 - May 24, 2017
This was the first time I had been to Mallorca. It's a beautiful island with a lot to do some pretty amazing people. I was lucky enough to be invited by my friend Ollie to be included in a 2 day sailboat race from Palma to Cabrera Island. We didn't win the race, but we had a great time and I met two new Mallorcan friends, Pedro and Captain Mati. I stayed in an Airbnb in the Santa Catalina area of Palma. During my time on the island, I had an excellent guide and chauffeur in Mati who is a native Mallorcan. Being a native, Mati gave me an 'insiders' view of a lot of Mallorca and was very generous with his time in showing me around. One of my favorite areas that we went to during my "private tour" was the Town and Port of Sóller.
